Short version: PowerballTax.com does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not sell any data. This page documents exactly what happens when you use the site.
What we collect
We do not ask for your name, email, address, ticket number, or any other personal identifier. Jackpot amounts and state selections you enter into the calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-first product that records aggregate page views without cookies or personal identifiers. You can find their privacy documentation at https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Cookies
The site uses no tracking cookies. next-intl stores a preference cookie only when you manually switch languages; this cookie holds the two-letter locale code and no personal data.
Third-party services
Live Powerball data is fetched server-side from RapidAPI and cached in Vercel Redis. Your browser never contacts the lottery API directly. Exchange rates are fetched from open.er-api.com and cached for 24 hours.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data, there is no data to export, correct, or delete. If you reach out to us at hello@powerballtax.com we will keep the email only as long as needed to respond.

Any material change to this policy will be noted here with an updated "last updated" date.
